About The Role

Your role will be to focus on our continued expansion into aerospace and defence, with a clear short term objective of achieving AS9100 certification. You will have genuine authority to own supplier quality systems, decisions and direction without the complexity of a large management structure.

A defining feature of the role is its project driven focus. In your first 6–12 months, you’ll take ownership of refreshing and rewriting the supplier quality manual, translating aerospace standards into practical, supplier facing documentation and shaping a fit for purpose supplier quality strategy. Alongside this you will also gain knowledge to support our high performance automotive and motorsport programmes, sharing best practices and strengthening quality capability across the wider business.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Owning supplier quality end to end across aerospace, defence and wider programmes.
* Acting as the authority for supplier quality decisions, escalation and corrective action closure.
* Managing supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards and risk based approaches.
* Carrying out and overseeing supplier audits, with particular focus on aerospace critical suppliers.
* Rewriting and maintaining the Supplier Quality Manual in line with AS9100 requirements.
* Working closely with Purchasing and Project teams during supplier selection and new programme activity.
* Providing line management, guidance and mentoring other Supplier Quality Engineers.

Who We’re Looking For

* Strong background in Supplier Quality within Aerospace or Defence manufacturing.
* Practical experience of AS9100 or equivalent aerospace quality systems.
* Proven experience writing, maintaining or improving quality manuals and procedures.
* Supplier auditing experience, including risk based methodologies.
* First Article Inspection (FAI) experience.
* Confident corrective action and problem solving capability (including 8D).
* Willingness to travel to UK and European suppliers as required.
* Ability to travel to site.

What You’ll Get

* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase more.
* Westfield Health Insurance.
* Discounted Gym membership.
* Company pension.
* Free onsite parking.
* Additional shift bonus (where applicable).
* Family Ironbridge Pass.

Joining our team means being part of a culture that values positivity, adaptability, and teamwork. We strive to innovate and improve, ensuring everyone shares in our success.

We’re committed to supporting applicants with disabilities and we’re happy to make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and in the workplace to suit your needs. If you require any adjustments or additional support, please let us know.
