This post is being advertised as a Band 3; however applicants who do not meet the required care certificate competencies will be employed as a Band 2. Applicants who hold a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3. Our HCSWs are invaluable to the trust and play an integral role in the wards and departmental teams.
Responsibilities
* Work on inpatient wards (Ward 14, Endocrine within the Medical Specialities Directorate) at Royal Bournemouth Hospital, in permanent positions.
* Carry out duties to support patients and care teams, under the supervision of registered staff.
* Be flexible to work across all shift patterns, including weekdays, weekends, nights and bank holidays.
* Participate in a full induction, care certificate progression, and mentorship on the wards.
* Contribute to delivering first class patient care and support.
Qualifications and requirements
* No previous experience is required; training provided to succeed in the role.
* A numeracy and literacy assessment is part of the selection process, followed by an interview.
* Base location is Royal Bournemouth Hospital (vacancy available).

* Fully flexible across shift patterns is required.
