Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment.
Duties
* Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system (EMIS web)
* Process personal telephone and e-requests for appointments
* Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately.
* Signpost patients to the correct services (community, pharmacy, A&E)
* Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies.
* SNOMED code data onto the EMIS system
* Input data in to the patients healthcare records as necessary
* Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
* Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social care (desirable)
Skills
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
* VERY strong IT skills
* Clear, polite telephone manner
* Competent in the use of all microsoft applications.
* EMIS user skills (desirable)
* Effective time management
* Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
* Good interpersonal skills
* Problem solving and analytical skills
Experience
* Experience of working with the general public
* Experience of administrative duties
* Experience of working in a healthcare setting
* Experience in handling a high volume of phone calls
* Experience in using multiple IT systems simultaneously.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
