Vickerstock are working in partnership with an engineering firm experiencing a huge period of growth on the appointment of an experienced Stores Manager.
This role will suit someone coming from a face paced, manufacturing environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

In your new role:
6. Reporting directly to the Head of Logistics
7. Managing a team of around 30 staff made up of warehouse operatives, logistics coordinators, forklift drivers and warehouse team leaders
8. Manage performance of all members of the team ensuring everyone is prepped and motivated for the day ahead
9. Ensure that labour is planned and utilised effectively to deliver the operational plans & KPI's
10. Ensure all employees are fully trained and compliant with all QA and Health & Safety policies
11. Fully responsible for the safe and accurate receipt of goods, storage and delivery to production lines
12. Plan and manage all activities around maintaining stock accuracy, including rolling stock-takes, annual stock takes and carrying out investigations where there are discrepancies
13. Reporting and delivering all KPI's, ensuring all levels of staff in the stores know what is expected of them
14. Frequently liaise with the scheduling team keeping them up to date on any material shortages
15. Responsible for fork trucks/handling equipment and any vans under the control of the stores team, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose
What you will need to succeed:
16. A minimum of 2 years experience managing a busy warehouse/stores preferably within a fast paced, manufacturing environment
