We are looking to recruit a Head of Service in the Safeguarding, Assessment & Children with Disabilities Team within Havering. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Head of Service includes:
Considerable experience of statutory children’s social wor.
Experience of leading services through improvement journey and Ofsted monitorin.
Collaborative reflective leadership style with ability to drive and deliver results
Responsible for effective, inclusive leadership and management of the borough’s children’s
Safeguarding Service.
Ensuring delivery of high-quality services against local and national indicators and targets in keeping with professional standards of good practice, legislation, regulations and guidance so that high quality assessments and interventions are delivered in time, to meet children and family’s assessed needs and improve outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have:
Social Work England registration
Eligibility to work in the UK
Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
