Role Description
This is a part-time role for a Care Worker, located in Copeland and Allerdale area with the possibility of becoming a full-time position. Key responsibilities include providing compassionate care to individuals in need, assisting with daily living activities, administering basic health support, and ensuring the well-being and dignity of those under your care. Additionally, maintaining accurate records of care provided and coordinating with families and healthcare professionals will be an integral part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
* Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals needing care.
* Basic healthcare knowledge, understanding of safety procedures, and first aid capabilities.
* Time management, multitasking, and organizational skills to ensure quality care and support.
* Effective verbal and written communication for record-keeping and collaboration.
* Previous experience in a caregiving role, while not mandatory, is highly beneficial.
* Ability to travel locally within Whitehaven/Workington and surrounding areas for in-person care.
* Possession of basic ICT skills or the ability to use home-working tools effectively.
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent advantageous but not required.
