Minimum qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
* 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
* Experience in software system architecture.
Preferred qualifications
* Experience programming in C++, Python or Go.
* Experience with blockchain related technologies.
* Experience with data structures/algorithms.
* Ability to deliver results and make progress as a technical leader in a fast-changing, ambiguous problem space.

In this role, you will contribute to various scope and impact as a generalist software engineer. You will learn new skills and develop features across distributed systems consensus, compiler/interpreter design, developer tooling, finance, cryptography and more.

Responsibilities
* Build a first‑party Google Cloud product (Google Cloud Universal Ledger) by implementing integrations into Google‑scale processes and infrastructure.
* Develop innovative solutions for maintaining data privacy on the ledger, including techniques like zero‑knowledge proofs.
* Contribute as a team player to the day‑to‑day tasks of the team.
* Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
* Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
