Engineers at AtkinsRéalis are at the heart of delivering transformative projects in the UK nuclear industry, reducing carbon emissions whilst achieving future energy security. Your work will span across areas including new nuclear power station design, developing fusion technologies, or implementing new nuclear waste management processes.
AtkinsRéalis is looking to grow our team of process engineers within the Nuclear & Power business. If you have the passion to join some of these exciting projects, then we would love to discuss with you!
We work collaboratively to solve technical challenges across the entire project lifecycle, from concept design to decommissioning. Our day-to-day activities include production of process engineering deliverables (process sizing calculations, heat & material balances, P&IDs, etc.), process modelling, and process safety activities (HAZID/ HAZOP studies, DSEAR assessments, etc.).
About the Opportunity:

Ideal qualities include:
* BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering, working towards Chartership with the IChemE.
* Experience in the nuclear industry is advantageous but not required; we value skills from other industries.
* Experience with chemical process simulation software for designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting processes.
* Ability to collaborate across the business to provide technical expertise and deliver optimal engineering solutions.
* Commitment to high-quality work and effective communication skills.
