We believe that the best approach to deterring criminal activity is to understand the vulnerabilities and risks of each location, and tailor our approach to effectively reduce risk. As a Retail Security Officer, you will be required to:
* Provide visible deterrence and respond to incidents
* Complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities
* Carry out guarding responsibilities such as patrolling, assessing vulnerabilities, and liaising with management
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy
* Conduct searches in line with company policy
* Report incidents digitally using tablets or phones
* Maintain detailed and legible incident reports
You should act professionally, cooperatively, and flexibly. Effective communication skills are essential for providing detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents. You must have a valid SIA licence. Previous retail security experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
