 
        
        We are looking for a Triage and Assessment Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at Compass in Coventry. The role is a 6‑month Fixed Term Contract, part‑time, with day‑to‑day rostering tailored to service needs. You will be the first meaningful contact for children, young people and families accessing our services.
Key Responsibilities
 * Lead triage of new referrals, conducting comprehensive, holistic assessments.
 * Develop and maintain care plans in liaison with families, schools and professionals.
 * Manage assessment rota and contribute to development of efficient, inclusive pathways into care.
 * Provide professional, compassionate support and documentation in line with safeguarding and data protection standards.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
 * Qualification in mental health or working with children & young people (e.g., Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling).
 * Minimum of one year post‑qualification experience delivering holistic assessments.
 * Experience working with vulnerable groups and in multi‑agency settings.
 * Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, consent and Gillick competency.
 * Good IT and case recording skills; excellent communication and time‑management.
 * UK driving licence and vehicle access for occasional travel.
Desirable Criteria
 * CBT‑informed approach or experience in organising team duties.
 * Knowledge of evidence‑based practice, child development and statistical target setting.
