Accounts Payable Manager | Cardiff
A high-profile global professional services organisation is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead its AP function from their Cardiff office.
This is a significant leadership role with genuine scope, sitting at the heart of a global procure-to-pay operation and acting as a key partner to Finance, Procurement, Treasury and senior stakeholders across multiple markets.
The role
You will own end-to-end AP operations globally, including invoice processing, payment runs, supplier reconciliations, month-end close activities and query management. Beyond the transactional oversight, this is fundamentally a people and process leadership position. You will manage and develop AP Team Leaders and Specialists, drive continuous improvement and automation, maintain a robust controls and compliance framework and represent the AP function with credibility at senior stakeholder level.
What they are looking for
A confident AP leader with a strong background in global or matrixed environments. You will need solid knowledge of procure-to-pay processes and controls, ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or Workday) and the ability to lead teams through change while maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance and service delivery.
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is advantageous, as is a working knowledge of VAT and invoice compliance requirements.
