Role Overview
My client is seeking a skilled and experienced BMS Project Engineer. You will play a critical role in the delivery of small to medium-sized projects, including system upgrades, PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance), and reactive maintenance for a diverse range of clients across sectors such as commercial, education, and leisure.
This position involves both hands-on engineering and project leadership responsibilities. You will manage BMS software strategies, collaborate with Project Managers, and lead small teams to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver BMS project works from design through commissioning and handover.
* Manage and execute BMS installation, upgrade, and optimisation projects.
* Perform planned/reactive maintenance and support energy-saving strategy deployment via BMS platforms.
* Develop and modify software strategies across Trend, Tridium, and other BMS platforms.
* Conduct RAMS reviews and maintain strict Health & Safety compliance on all sites.
* Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Oversee installation and commissioning works, ensuring alignment with budgets and timelines.
* Stay current with BMS technologies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Experience
* Strong experience with BMS systems—Trend (IQ Vision desirable), Tridium, and ideally Schneider
* Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualification (HNC/ONC or equivalent).
* Proven ability to solve complex problems and develop innovative technical solutions.
* Excellent communication skills with a client-focused, collaborative attitude.
* Full UK driving license and eligibility to work in the UK.
