Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Internal Web Developer to lead the development, hosting, and management of our internal web platforms. This role will ensure our digital tools are secure, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs, while supporting the migration to internal hosting environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain internal websites and web-based applications.
* Manage website hosting environments, including setup, configuration, and performance monitoring.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver functional, scalable solutions.
* Ensure websites are responsive, accessible, and optimized for performance.
* Implement and maintain security protocols and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
* Support content updates and provide guidance to non-technical users.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web functionality, hosting, and performance.
* Document technical specifications, configurations, and processes.
* Assist in the migration of web content to internal hosting platforms.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
* Experience with website hosting and server management (e.g., Apache, NGINX, cloud platforms).
* Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, SharePoint).
* Understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design.
* Knowledge of web security and data protection standards.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with internal portals or intranet development.
* Backend development skills (e.g., PHP, Python, ).
* Familiarity with cloud hosting environments and deployment pipelines.
* Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).

· A starting annual salary of £28,000 - £30,000 for 35-hour week, between the hours of 9-5 Mon-Fri.
