We are looking for a Head Chef who has experience and standards of a 1 AA Rosette level for this independent hotel in North Yorkshire. The food style will be mainly modern European and British but with knowledge of other types. The hotel is independently owned and you will work closely with the owners and the General Manager.
You will be a Head Chef who has experience and knowledge of food costs, stock takes, how to work out GPs and ensure the kitchen is profitable. You will be experienced in writing and costing menus, with a good understanding of what is popular. As Head Chef you will build and develop relationships with local suppliers to always get the best produce and value for money.
You will be expected as Head Chef to train and nurture your team, to retain quality chefs and ensure that they grow within the company. Health and Safety and Food Safety standards must be adhered to and you will be an expert in due diligence recording.
