We have an opportunity for an Advisor, who is part qualified or currently working towards the Level 5 CIPD qualification, to join our friendly team that focusses on a wide range of areas including People and Culture issues and casework, staff experience, health and wellbeing and equality, diversity and inclusion. If you have experience of providing HR advice on a range of People related issues coupled with an interest and enthusiasm for improving staff experience and health and wellbeing by supporting the delivery of a range of diverse projects, then this could be the role for you. The role will be based with the People and Culture Team at our head office in Wakefield and we are happy to discuss hybrid working opportunities after a settling in period.
Responsibilities
* Provide professional advice, guidance and coaching to managers on a range of People issues and casework in accordance with Spectrum's policies, employment legislation, ACAS codes of practice and other professional standards.
* Support managers to resolve People issues informally wherever possible.
* Lead or be involved in wellbeing initiatives to improve staff experience.
* Review data, best practice and engage with staff and staff networks to listen to staff feedback, make recommendations on appropriate initiatives and take these forward.
* Communicate effectively with a wide variety of staff, verbally via presentations and staff briefings, and in writing using reports or newsletters.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Part‑qualified or currently working towards Level 5 CIPD qualification.
* Commitment to ongoing personal development.
* Current employment law knowledge.
Essential Experience
* Experience of providing advice on employee relations.
* Experience of participating in and advising on performance management, investigations and hearings.
* Experience of providing HR services in a client‑facing organisation.
* Experience of maintaining strict confidentiality.
Desirable Experience
* Recent experience working within a similar role within the NHS.
* Experience of managing employee relations working with trade unions.
