Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior FM professional to lead the technical services function across a multi‑site portfolio. This role oversees the delivery of all hard FM services to the highest statutory and contractual standards, driving performance across 12 sites and ensuring seamless execution of SLAs, PPM schedules and lifecycle planning. Working closely with operational teams, central technical specialists and health & safety colleagues, the position provides expert guidance on all technical and asset‑management matters while shaping efficient processes that support long‑term estate performance.
The successful candidate will also champion environmental best practice, supporting ambitious utilities and carbon‑reduction targets and contributing to wider sustainability strategies. Acting as a key ambassador for the organisation, they will build strong relationships with university partners, students and internal teams, consistently role‑modelling thepany’s values and professional standards. What you'll need to succeed
This role requires strong experience in FM delivery, including at least five years in a technical FM position with responsibility for managing multi‑skilled teams and contractors. Experience within higher education, student amodation or public‑private partnership environments is advantageous. Candidates should bring excellentmunication skills, a solid understanding of health and safety, and confidence working with CAD, M&E schematics, CAFM systems, BMS and smart‑building technologies.
A higher‑level qualification along with a NEBOSH General Certificate and professional membership is expected. Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities are essential, as is the resilience to perform well in a fast‑paced environment.
