Your Role
Would you like to listen and learn from people across our business before implementing plans to keep them engaged? This role involves working with key personnel in our Contract Logistics Business Unit to deliver communications that inform and excite our colleagues. You will support the development, implementation, and embedding of our UK-wide communication strategy, gathering feedback along the way. Additionally, you will create innovative communications to reinforce Kuehne+Nagel’s brand. Logistics is more interesting than you might think, and your role is to support our UK teams in delivering for our customers by understanding what motivates them.
Your Responsibilities
1. Provide expert writing, formatting, proofreading, and editing services for the Contract Logistics business.
2. Liaise with the central Kuehne+Nagel communications team and follow corporate content guidelines.
3. Work closely with the Contract Logistics Leadership team to plan and deliver an integrated communication schedule aligned with the UK strategy.
4. Support colleague awards and recognition programs.
5. Ensure a consistent flow of information to colleagues across Contract Logistics, responding to topical issues and operational changes.
6. Advise stakeholders using feedback, insights, and research to develop new messages and communication methods.
7. Support organizational objectives related to colleague engagement.
8. Utilize tools like surveys and focus groups to measure communication effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
9. Assist in developing communication materials such as briefing documents, statements, and FAQs for internal and external audiences.
Your Skills and Experience
1. Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
2. Creative with excellent English copywriting skills for diverse audiences.
3. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to analyze data and present findings effectively.
4. Experience as a Communications Executive dealing with a diverse employee base is preferred.
5. Positive, proactive, resilient, and solutions-oriented mindset.
6. Ability to translate complex messages into engaging stories, visuals, and copy.
7. Effective team player and individual contributor, capable of building trust.
8. Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus. A qualification in communications, marketing, or journalism is desirable but not essential.
