The Role
We’re looking for a Payroll Delivery Team Leader to join our team and take ownership of the monthly salaried payroll process. You’ll coordinate and supervise a team of Payroll Coordinators, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery. You’ll also act as a point of expertise for complex payroll issues and support both internal teams and external payroll providers.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and manage a team of Payroll Coordinators, including recruitment, coaching, training, and performance management
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of the monthly salaried payroll, monitoring input and controls
* Provide expert advice and support on complex payroll issues
* Conduct second‑level output checks in line with the payroll control framework
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers to meet KPIs and SLAs
* Manage payroll‑related administration tasks and support the Payroll Delivery Manager
* Maintain compliance with UK legislation, GDPR, and data privacy requirements
What We’re Looking For
* 3+ years’ payroll experience, preferably with salaried monthly payroll
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Experience managing teams and supervising staff
* Knowledge of UK payroll legislation, GDPR, and data privacy
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
* Hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and team support
