What difference will you make?
As a counsellor, you will be working directly with our community members who are living with a long term health condition/ mental health.. Your role will be to provide emotional support, guidance, and a listening ear to those who need it most. The impact that you will have on our community is immeasurable. Living with a chronic condition can be incredibly isolating, and often, those affected by these conditions feel misunderstood and alone. As a counsellor with Chronically Marvellous, you will be able to make a real difference in the lives of our community members by providing them with the emotional support they need to thrive. Your work as a counsellor will help our community members to feel less alone in their struggles, empower them to manage their symptoms more effectively, and provide them with the tools and resources they need to lead fulfilling, meaningful lives in spite of the challenges they face.
What are we looking for?
To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a qualified and preferably a BACP registered counsellor. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.
What will you be doing?
As a volunteer counsellor, you will play an invaluable role in supporting individuals who are facing the emotional toll of chronic illness. From providing a listening ear to offering practical advice and resources, you will work closely with our clients to ensure that they receive the guidance and support they need to cope with their conditions.
