As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls, you play a crucial role in developing software solutions that meet specified functional and user requirements while ensuring protection against misuse, circumvention, and malicious activities. As a key technical contributor, you are tasked with implementing essential technology solutions using tamper-proof, audit-defensible methods across diverse technical domains within various business functions.
Job responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the security engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
2. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions for enterprise-scale deployments.
3. Experience deployingmercial software at scale into an enterprise environment.
4. Develop and enforce robust change management practices to ensure system integrity and security.
5. Show strong experience defining and implementing infrastructure as Code (IaC), working with CI/CD pipelines, and associated automation tooling.
6. Function in systems engineering, systems integrations, and systems administration roles. Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems internals.
7. Execute on key deliverables in the security engineering space. Design and develop production deployments with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches in order to deliver technology solutions for key stakeholders.
8. Develop secure and high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others. Able to implementplex business logic in Python, Bash, PowerShell, and other scripting languages.
9. Engage effectively with third-party vendors andmunicate and collaborate with a broad range of internal teams.
10. Minimize security vulnerabilities by following industry insights andernment regulations to continuously evolve security protocols, including creating processes to determine the effectiveness of current controls.
11. Work with stakeholders and business leaders to understand security needs and rmend business modifications during periods of vulnerability.
12. Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
13. Formal training or certification on Engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience
14. Experience with cloud engineering, deployment engineering, DevOps engineering, or equivalent
15. Demonstrated skills in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise level security solutions.
16. Strong experience defining and implementing infrastructure as Code (IaC), working with CI/CD pipelines, and associated automation tooling
17. Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
18. Strong analytical experience with problem solving mindset and the ability to solveplex challenges.
19. Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
20. Cloudputing related certifications with an AWS focus are strongly preferred, such as Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or similar.
21. Experience effectivelymunicating with senior business leaders.
