Overview
We are looking for a flexible, adaptable and reliable Caretaker, who shares our school values, to join our team and help keep our site and facilities well maintained and safe.
This is a part-time role, 20 hours per week (2:30pm – 6:30pm), 52 weeks per year with additional ad-hoc overtime when required. All annual leave must be taken during school holidays. This is a physically demanding role which will require some heavy lifting / working at height.
Job Salary Bucks Pay Range 2 point 11-15 depending on experience (aprox £13,400 - £14,500 per year)
Contract Type Permanent – Start date 1st July 2024
Hours 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, 22 days annual leave.

About the role
The Caretaker will:
1. Maintain the security of the school site.
2. Be responsible for routine Health & Safety checks and statutory reviews (including COSHH, training provided).
3. Be responsible for premises management and maintenance to ensure the site is kept clean and safe and in a good state of repair.
4. Undertake emergency cleaning duties and support the cleaning staff where required.
5. Assist with any movement of deliveries, furniture or anything else as required around the site.

About you
The successful candidate will:
6. Have a high standard of DIY/maintenance experience.
7. Be able to work proactively under their own initiative.
8. Ideally have some experience of Health & Safety guidelines although training will be provided.
9. Be adaptable, flexible and cheerful!
