We are recruiting for: Social Worker / Experienced Social Worker with the same salary range. Wirral is committed to developing and progressing our social care workforce to help you thrive and achieve your ambitions.
Responsibilities
* Develop core child in need and child protection skills, working closely with children, young people and their families and developing child-centred, co-produced plans which reflect aspirations and sustainability for families.
* Access a range of learning and development opportunities provided by a dedicated Practice Improvement Team to support work with children and families and enable self-development and resilience building.
* Utilise appropriate tools and flexible working arrangements to maximise efficiency, meet deadlines and balance the needs of children and families with appropriate processes.
* Contribute to Wirral’s #bethedifference campaign, improving outcomes for children and young people.
* Work within Locality Teams (Assessment – Court) or Permanence Teams, as applicable, and clearly state your interest on application.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Social Worker or Experienced Social Worker with suitable registration and experience in child protection and child in need work.
* DBS check required. The post follows Safer Recruitment & Employment policies.
* Ability to work with children, young people and families in a child-centred, collaborative way.
* Eligibility to work in the UK and capacity to evidence right to work at interview.
