Are you a Quantity Surveyor with a strong interest in high-end residential construction and a meticulous eye for detail?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor renowned across the South of England for delivering exceptional private estates, listed properties, and bespoke new-build homes.
You will play a pivotal role in the commercial delivery of prestigious residential schemes, ensuring a balance of quality, accuracy, and commercial performance while advancing your career on some of the region’s most highly regarded homes.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of projects, supporting delivery from procurement through to final account. You will ensure financial accuracy, drive value, and build strong working relationships with all project stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing procurement and cost control for specialist subcontractor packages
* Monitoring and valuing project variations, ensuring accurate reporting and record-keeping
* Preparing valuations, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts to maintain commercial clarity
* Assessing and certifying subcontractor applications and final accounts
* Working closely with design teams, architects, and clients to achieve cost efficiency without compromising quality
* Providing clear and timely commercial information to support key project decisions
About You
You will bring:
* Experience working on prime or heritage residential projects, ideally valued at £5m+
* A solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement strategies, and cost reporting
* Confidence managing multiple subcontract packages, variations, and client relationships
* Strong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
* Proficiency in Excel and cost management software
* A proactive, professional, and collaborative approach, with a clear desire to develop your career
