Job Description:

At Bracknell Forest, our employees are our greatest asset, and we are passionate about providing learning and development opportunities through a blended learning approach. One of our core values is ‘Always Learning’, and to achieve this, we strive for continuous improvement, proactively seeking development opportunities, reflecting, learning from experience, and evaluating impact.

Being a learning organisation is central to our onboarding, investment, and skill development strategies, empowering your progression. It helps us transform our work, improve outcomes for communities, and achieve value for money.

As a Learning and Development Officer, you will contribute to delivering the Bracknell Forest Learning and Development Plan.

We are committed to being a people-focused and inclusive organisation, and we aim to retain and attract a diverse workforce while offering progression opportunities.

What it’s like working in our team…

Your duties, responsibilities, and training include…

You will advise managers on learning solutions to meet organisational needs within available resources. Learning and development is part of our HR, OD & Payroll service, and you will be supported by colleagues across the team.

The benefits you will experience include…

* An inclusive and social working environment with staff networks
* Opportunities for flexible and agile working, with a hybrid working model
* Generous annual leave starting at 28 days, increasing after 3 years to 33 days (pro-rata for part-time), plus additional leave purchase options
* Regular development opportunities through internal and external training
* A great office location near transport links and the town centre
* Internal sports and social club activities
* Extensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
* Discounted leisure and gym memberships
* Local Government pension scheme and Life Insurance

What we’re looking for…

We seek someone experienced in designing, delivering, and facilitating a variety of learning activities, with effective communication skills. A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment is ideal.
