VACANCY: Security and Infrastructure Manager

The Role:
We are seeking a talented Security and Infrastructure Manager to join our forward-thinking IT team at our cutting-edge Coventry headquarters. This is a pivotal, well-funded role where you'll lead the security of IT operations across the group, while also supporting, innovating, maintaining, and implementing a wide range of infrastructure, network, server, cloud, and SaaS solutions.
You’ll also act as a 3rd line escalation point, a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for infrastructure topics, and a mentor to others in the team—helping upskill and motivate colleagues to ensure we deliver best-in-class support to our users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the end-to-end security of IT operations across the business.
* Design, implement, and support infrastructure including networking, cloud services, servers, SaaS platforms, and DR strategy.
* Assess current and future technological needs and help shape the technological strategy to meet the business’s evolving demands.
* Provide 3rd line support for complex issues related to infrastructure and end-user computing.
* Act as an SME for all infrastructure-related queries across departments.
* Lead on security strategy and innovation, ensuring systems remain state-of-the-art.
* Coach and mentor junior team members, developing capability across the IT function.
* Collaborate with the wider technology team and senior leadership to support Kite’s growth strategy.
* Manage and develop relationships with external providers.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in IT security and infrastructure engineering – preferably backed by a relevant degree.
* Proven experience in strategic planning and execution.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and 3rd line support experience.
* Experience in mentoring or developing team members is a strong plus.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, ambitious environment.
* A proactive, security-first mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
* Relevant certifications such as ITIL v4 or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
