Position Title: Cyber Security Manager

Role
We are one of the UK's leading equipment hire providers, undergoing a technology‑driven transformation. We are looking for a Cyber Security Manager to lead and manage the organisation's cyber security function, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. A core responsibility of the role is to lead the implementation of a Cyber Security Improvement Programme, defined as part of a recent Cyber Security Maturity Assessment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Serve as Programme Lead for the Cyber Security Improvement Programme, ensuring initiatives identified during the organisation's maturity assessment are delivered on time, within scope, and to required quality standards.
* Lead the development and maintenance of cyber security policies, standards, and procedures aligned to recognised industry frameworks.
* Oversee the management of security tools, technologies and platforms including monitoring, SIEM, endpoint protection, identity security and vulnerability management.
* Coordinate cross‑departmental initiatives to implement security controls, processes and technology improvements.
* Champion a culture of cyber security awareness across the organisation.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a senior cyber security role, such as Cyber Security Manager or Security Lead.
* Experience delivering cyber security improvement programmes or security transformation initiatives.
* Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0.
* Experience managing third‑party suppliers.
* Strong stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent report writing skills.
