Summary of Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic graduate engineers to join our Energy team to perform software design, development, and implementation for PLC/IED based control and/or SCADA Operational Technology Systems. The role involves working in a team throughout all project lifecycle stages for systems in renewable power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution industries. Projects include system upgrades, modifications, and new builds. Training will be provided as needed. This role is suitable for graduates interested in control system automation software.
* University Degree (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) in Control Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields
* Coding experience in at least one high-level language (e.g., C, VB, C#, Java)
* Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
* Interest or understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and networking
* Willingness to travel and work away when required
* Experience in writing PLC software to IEC61131 standard using ladder, function block diagram, sequential function chart, or structured text
* Experience with SCADA systems
* Knowledge of communication protocols
* Experience with virtualization tools like VMWare or HyperV
* Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and domain configuration
* Experience with network switch and firewall configuration
* Experience with simulation software such as SIMIT, PICS, or WinMOD
* Full UK Driving Licence
