Alexander Daniels are working a great business to recruit for a Management Accountant initially on a 6 month FTC. This role offers a hybrid contract.
You will be responsible for delivering financial reporting for the division, including monthly management accounts, commentary, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory audit deliverables. It also owns detailed margin analysis, KPI reporting and trend analysis.
The role supports budgeting and forecasting processes and works closely with the Commercial Finance team to develop and challenge key assumptions and drivers.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce accurate and timely financial reporting for the division, including management accounts, management information and balance sheet reconciliations
* Collaborate with other finance teams to support financial analysis across multiple business channels
* Develop and enhance financial processes, procedures and risk management to ensure a strong control environment aligned with professional standards and business needs
* Ensure finance processes and systems are robust and sufficiently automated to support planned growth and new initiatives
* Prepare and submit statutory year‑end and half‑year audit documentation
* Maintain the financial integrity of divisional systems and their interfaces with central finance systems, ensuring they remain appropriate for current and future operational complexity
* Identify, communicate and mitigate risks relating to accounting and reporting controls
* Act as a key subject matter expert on finance workstreams for any operational system upgrades or implementations
* Work closely with the wider Finance team to provide business support on an ad‑hoc basis
* Provide financial evaluation to support the delivery of required bonds, licences and banking facilities
Essential
* An experienced Management Accountant with a proven ability to deliver high‑quality outputs to tight deadlines
* Comfortable working with large data sets and using data to support analysis and decision‑making
* Strong customer focus with a commitment to quality and service
