Job Title: PCB Design Engineer
Contract: Inside IR35
Duration: 12-month contract
Location: Bristol (On-Site)
Responsibilities
* Creation and management of schematic and footprint libraries
* Generation and version control of Bills of Materials (BOMs)
* Liaison with procurement and manufacturing operations teams regarding new, end-of-life, and obsolete components
* Creation of PCB manufacturing and assembly data packs
* PCB supplier liaison and management
* PCB layout for development and production designs
Experience & Requirements
* Schematic and layout component part library creation and management
* Creation of footprints suitable for multi-sourced components
* Development of in-house design constraints compatible with multiple assembly house rules
* Proficiency with Mentor or Xpedition design flows (schematic capture, design constraints, PCB layout)
* Knowledge of HDI stack-ups, via structures, and controlled-impedance routing
* Strong understanding of EMC-aware layout and mitigation of crosstalk and interference
