An established engineering and manufacturing companyis urgently seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist Engineer to join a growing engineering team. As a CNC lathe operator this is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects supporting both UK and international customers within a stable and supportive engineering environment.
As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for manufacturing precision components and supporting production activities. You will play a key role in ensuring quality, efficiency and engineering excellence across the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision components
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met
Inspecting finished components to specification
Supporting continuous improvement and productivity initiatives
Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping
Working collaboratively with the wider engineering team
Requirements
Proven CNC lathe machining experience (essential)
Ability to read technical drawings and use inspection equipment
Engineering apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification (advantageous)
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Positive and reliable team player
Salary & Benefits
£17£18 per hour (equivalent to approx. £34k£36k permanent salary)

Working Hours (39 hours per week)
Monday: 7:30am 4:00pm
Tuesday: 7:30am 4:30pm
Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30am 5:00pm
Friday: 7:30am 12:00pm (early finish)
Overtime is regularly available during the week and Saturday mornings.
