Role purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Professional or Procurement Consultant to help establish procurement expertise within the Midlands Commercial & Procurement team. The successful candidate will build relationships with Critical Infrastructure clients, advising and delivering a wide range of procurement, commercial and supply chain requirements—from strategy to procurement, through to supplier management—while maximizing value within the supply chain ecosystem.


What you can bring

* A Procurement Professional or Procurement Consultant with experience in infrastructure, construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas or UK Public Sector organisations.
* Experience in client-facing environments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions to complex challenges.
* Experience in end-to-end procurement lifecycle activities, supporting complex procurements, developing procurement strategies, defining complex requirements, delivering procurements, mobilising contracts and maximizing supplier relationship management.
* Knowledge of construction contracts (NEC, JCT, FIDIC), awareness of UK public sector regulations, and procurement acts.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management to engage across complex environments; willingness to develop technical and consulting skills to deliver excellent client service and represent the AtkinsRéalis brand.
* Ability to develop commercial governance procedures and processes; business development and win-work experience (bid writing, pre-contract engagement, client relationship management); relevant chartership/qualification (MRICS, MCIPS, MCIOB or similar).
* Data analysis skills using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau; ability to plan or oversee projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
