Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a skilled team of design engineers, delivering high-quality products and systems to the Defence Industry. You will be responsible for turning system requirements into innovative electronic design solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do
* Lead the architectural and detailed design of electronic solutions to meet project requirements.
* Collaborate with internal design teams and external suppliers to develop effective design outcomes.
* Consider design for manufacture and test to ensure seamless transition into production.
* Support system integration, including hands-on fault finding.
* Work with external test houses to ensure compliance with MoD and European standards, including CE/UKCA marking.
* Produce and maintain high-quality documentation and drawings (e.g., Bill of Materials, schematics, Change Notes) in line with internal procedures.
* Provide electronic engineering expertise to project teams.
* Occasionally support offsite installations and maintenance of products and systems.
What you’ll need
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
* Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (essential).
* Full UK driving licence (desirable).
* Broad electronics design experience in both analogue and digital techniques, including:
o Low noise power supply and distribution circuits
o Analogue signal conditioning
o Digital interfacing and FPGA-based control
* Proven experience across the full product design lifecycle, including:
o Generating specifications and circuit designs
o Preparing for external artwork and subcontract manufacture
o Validation and verification at circuit, sub-system, and system level
o Change control and design updates
o Compliance and qualification (UKCA/CE, EMC, Environmental, RoHS, Safety)
o Formal acceptance testing
* Proficiency with ECAD tools for circuit & PCB design (Cadence OrCAD desirable).
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills down to component level.
* Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver solutions.

Salary
Salary range: £45,000-£52,000 per year.
