The role
As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure the timely production of Hawk Hydraulic and Mechanical Components to support daily flight operations within a Part 145 regulated environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
* Perform authorised maintenance tasks in accordance with competency assessments and under full supervision, as required by the authorising authority and subject to any imposed limitations.
* Undertake first signature responsibilities for bay-based maintenance and rectification activities.
* Execute maintenance procedures strictly in line with approved technical data, ensuring any discrepancies in process or documentation are promptly reported and resolved.
* Operate compressed gas systems and pressurised hydraulic fluids safely within the maintenance environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
* Carry out maintenance and rectification tasks using bay equipment, including hydraulic test benches, following completion of appropriate operator training.
This role is full time working 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Valley, Anglesey.
Essential experience of the Mechanical Technician:
* Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic systems and their associated components, including functionality and integration within mechanical assemblies.
* Solid understanding of hydraulic power principles, with emphasis on flow dynamics, pressure regulation, and system performance.
Qualifications for the Mechanical Technician:
* Substantial industry experience or completion of relevant On-the-Job Training (OJT) or vocational qualifications equivalent to City & Guilds Level 3 (C&G 2675), demonstrating a strong foundation in technical competence and practical application.
* Full Driving Licence.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
