Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, including residential homes, hotels, or commercial establishments. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and an ability to work independently while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
* Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
* Change bed linens and towels, ensuring a fresh and welcoming environment for guests or residents.
* Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
* Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously.
* Assist with laundry services as needed, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
* Ensure all areas are well-presented and meet the quality standards expected by clients or guests.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations within the establishment.
Requirements
* Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Experience in commercial cleaning or hotel environments is advantageous.
* Basic cooking skills would be beneficial for roles requiring meal preparation.
* Must be physically fit, capable of lifting items up to 20 kg, and able to stand for extended periods.
