Network Infrastructure & Security Engineer
Milton Keynes (hybrid considered)
Salary: £60,000 + Bonuses + Benefits
We are seeking a hands-on Network Infrastructure & Security Engineer to support and improve a mix of cloud and on-prem environments. You’ll work across systems, networking, and security, contributing to both operations and design.
Responsibilities
1. Manage AWS/Azure infrastructure
2. Support Windows/Linux systems and virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Proxmox)
3. Maintain networking (firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs)
4. Implement monitoring, logging, and backup solutions (e.g. Zabbix, Graylog, Veeam)
5. Support security tooling (Cloudflare WAF/Zero Trust, vulnerability scanning, patching, PKI)
6. Administer Microsoft 365
7. Produce technical documentation (HLD/LLD)
Skills & Experience
8. Strong infrastructure background across cloud and on-prem
9. Experience with monitoring, logging, and backup tools
10. Knowledge of networking and security principles
11. Familiarity with vulnerability management and VPNs
Desirable
12. ITIL processes
13. SIEM/EDR tools (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel/Defender)
14. Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
15. Jira/Confluence, IBM i
