We are currently seeking professional and dependable PSV Drivers to join our expanding Special Educational Needs (SEN) transport service. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking structured part-time work within a professional, well-supported, and community-focused environment.
The role involves providing safe, timely, and compassionate transport for children and young people with SEN to and from educational establishments. Working in close collaboration with an experienced Passenger Assistant, you will help ensure that every journey is conducted with the highest level of care, attention, and professionalism. Morning and afternoon routes are available, offering flexibility for those who require working hours that fit around other daily commitments.
Core responsibilities include performing daily vehicle safety checks, maintaining a calm and courteous demeanour at all times, and ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of all passengers throughout the journey. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with schools, parents, and colleagues. Punctuality, reliability, and a clear commitment to safeguarding are fundamental requirements.
Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence with a D1 category entitlement and have been a UK resident for at least five years to meet background screening requirements. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required; however, assistance can be provided for candidates who do not already hold one. While prior experience in SEN or school transport is advantageous, it is not essential full training will be provided, including Safeguarding, First Aid, and Epilepsy Awareness.
