This role is suited to an experienced Room Leader, Early Years Educator, or senior childcare professional with a background in Nursery (EYFS), confident supporting childcare routines, children’s learning, safeguarding, and high standards of room practice. You will be joining a welcoming and supportive nursery environment providing high-quality childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The role offers the opportunity to help children build confidence, independence, communication, and curiosity through structured EYFS activities, learning through play, and nurturing childcare support. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the day-to-day running of the nursery room Support high-quality EYFS learning, play, and development activities Promote a safe, caring, stimulating, and inclusive childcare environment Support children’s learning, development, confidence, and wellbeing Maintain safeguarding, welfare, health, and safety standards Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues Support observations, assessments, records, and nursery documentation Work collaboratively with the wider nursery and early years team Encourage child-centred practice across daily routines and activities Maintain high standards of communication, professionalism, and room organisation Requirements You must have the permanent right to work in the UK Relevant Early Years qualification aligned with EYFS expectations Previous experience working as a Nursery Room Leader, Room Leader, or senior practitioner within a nursery or early years childcare setting Background in Nursery (EYFS) Ability to support EYFS learning, safeguarding, child development, nursery routines, and room leadership Warm, caring, professional, and child-focused communication skills Ability to work independently while leading and supporting the wider nursery room team Also suitable for: Nursery Room Leader, Room Leader, Early Years Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, Senior Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Childcare Room Leader Company Culture As a Nursery Room Leader, you will be joining a supportive nursery and early years childcare setting focused on creating a safe, secure, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
