We are Maitland Selwyn, recruiting on behalf of our client for an experiencedSenior Quantity Surveyorbased inWolverhampton. You’ll join a strong Commercial, Estimating, and Buying team, taking the lead on financial and contractual aspects of multiple residential projects. You’ll ensure cost control, value delivery, and profitability across all phases—from tender through to final account.

What we’re looking for…
* HNC/HND in Surveying (or equivalent);Degree preferred
* Experience as PQS, SQS, or Commercial Lead inresidential housebuilding
* Knowledge ofconstruction methods, legal obligations, and building regs
* Strong skills in negotiation, IT, budgeting, and reporting
* Detail-oriented with strong communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Working towardCIOB or RICS(desirable)
Role Overview
You’ll manage projects end-to-end while leading and mentoring others in the team. Your duties include:
* Leading tenders, procurement schedules, cost plans, and site budgets
* Attending design and pre-start meetings to assess cost implications
* Preparing and managing subcontractor orders, stage payment schedules, and variations
* Tracking costs, reconciling accounts, and reporting monthly forecasts
* Managing valuations, subcontractor payments, and final accounts
* Supporting site team performance, cost reviews, and programme needs
* Maintaining internal systems and accurate documentation
* Ensuring legal compliance, addressing disputes, and issuing notices
* Supporting formal site closure, retentions, and legacy account management
* Collaborating across departments and mentoring junior surveyors
