About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join the Technical Services Team supporting the Department of Chemistry’s Research Laboratories at the University of Warwick. Reporting to the Deputy Technical Services Facilities Manager (Research), you will be part of a team of Senior Support Technicians and Technical Assistants who deliver high‑quality technical support to staff, students and visitors in the Department of Chemistry’s research laboratories.
Responsibilities
You will be part of a team delivering technical support to staff, students and visitors in the Department of Chemistry’s research laboratories, working under the supervision of the Deputy Technical Services Facilities Manager (Research).
Qualifications
* Well‑organised and adaptable, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proactive with a structured approach to following procedures accurately.
* Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with stakeholders, including staff and students.
* Good attention to detail, effective time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
* Flexible, can‑do attitude and willingness to support across different areas.
* Previous experience in a laboratory, technical or customer‑facing environment advantageous.
* Knowledge of health and safety practices, chemical handling or inventory systems desirable; full training will be provided.
* Right to work in the UK (non‑sponsored).
