Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Prescriber (ADHD/ASD pathways)

The closing date is 28 January 2026

We're looking for an experienced Nurse Prescriber (RMN/RMLD/RGN) to support the ADHD and neurodevelopmental pathways in Sheffield CAMHS. This is an exciting time of growth, and you'll help support the team through this process.

You'll work autonomously to assess, diagnose, and treat young people, and will have access to support from both medical and non-medical colleagues to provide a safe, professional environment.

You will combine community and clinic-based work, where you'll build relationships with young people and their families. You will also guide partner agencies, including local authorities and schools, to ensure comprehensive support for the young people in your care.

If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you!

Main duties of the job

* Reporting into the Matron, your responsibilities will include:
* Conduct specialist assessments, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, to identify the needs of children and young people with autism and ADHD, including complex cases.
* Identify and manage mental health difficulties and make appropriate referrals
* Apply evidence-based practice throughout the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care for children, young people, and their families.
* Be a subject matter expert on ADHD and autism within the team, supporting the development of knowledge.
* Monitor the physical and mental health of children and young people with ADHD, making clinical decisions.
* Administer medications following the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and local policy.
* Work with schools to assess and support the ongoing management of young people in these settings.
* Maintain accurate clinical records, provide clear information and prepare reports that comply with Trust and professional guidelines.
