About The Role
We are looking for a Program Manager with strong experience leading technology transformation programmes in the banking sector, especially around core banking and payments architecture.
Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of the end-to-end core banking migration programme.
Coordinate cross-functional teams in a regulated financial environment.
Manage programme budget, risks, milestones, and timelines.
Act as the key point of contact for C-level stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Ensure delivery avoids past integration mistakes and meets quality expectations.
Requirements:
14+ years of experience in transformation delivery and programme management.
Strong supplier management background: driving vendors to delivery plans, managing interdependencies, and owning scope/output to ensure agreed programme outcomes are delivered.
Deep knowledge of payments systems (SWIFT, SEPA, CHAPS, FPS, etc.).
Solid understanding of core banking architecture and cloud environments.
Experience in wholesale and retail banking transformation projects.
Professional certifications: Prince2, Agile, ITIL.
Strong experience working with FCA, PRA, and Bank of England.
Location: Basingstoke (UK) – HYBRID – 2 days/week onsite required
