Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) offers you the chance to work in a beautiful area with beaches and mountains on your doorstep. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Specialist Dietitian, or a newly qualified Dietitian seeking a Band 5‑6 development post, to facilitate the dietetic delivery of the Weight Management Service across BCUHB. The service aligns to the All Wales Weight Management Pathway at Level 2 and will offer evidence‑based opportunities for adults in North Wales who wish to lose weight to improve their health.
Main Duties
The Specialist Dietitian will support the Lead Dietitians in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice in relation to the Level 2 Service across the Health Board, working as an integral member of and in partnership with multi‑agency community teams. The service comprises Team Leads and Specialist Dietitians, alongside Dietetic Assistants and admin support, delivering group weight‑management programmes for adults in leisure centres or remotely via videoconference, and also providing one‑to‑one weight‑management clinics. You will remain a key member of the dietetic team, joining an enthusiastic group of dietitians delivering services in acute, primary care and public health, and supporting clinical placements for students.

Qualifications
* Degree in Dietetics
* HCPC registration
Essential Person Specification Criteria
* Experience in dietetic practice, particularly weight management
* CPD activity in the specialist area, including a Clinical Educators course
Desirable Person Specification Criteria
* Member of a specialist interest group, working towards an MSc or evidence of relevant accredited postgraduate study
* Experience of working with groups and evidence of service development and initiative
* IT skills and experience working in community, remote or lone working scenarios; expertise in motivational interviewing
Key Skills
* Excellent communication skills; ability to work in a team and independently; ability to manage workload and exhibit strong organisational and teaching, supervisory, and appraisal abilities
* IT proficiency and experience in community, remote or lone working situations; motivational interviewing skills
