Overview
Location: Broughton Post Office
Position: Post Office Counter Clerk
Hours: 20-25 hours per week (permanent contract)
Salary: Pay: National Minimum Wage (based on age)
Start Date: As soon as possible
DBS Check Required: Yes (Basic Disclosure)
Key Responsibilities
* Serve customers with mail services, banking, bill payments, and other Post Office products
* Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely
* Provide excellent customer service and resolve queries effectively
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and promotions
* Assist with stock control, merchandising, and general branch duties
Requirements
* Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or a customer service role preferred
* Strong communication and numeracy skills
* Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
* Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
* Basic IT skills
* Must be willing to undergo a Basic DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
