SEN Teaching Assistant – Dunstable We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a special school in Dunstable, starting after the May half-term. This is a full-time position offering a rewarding opportunity to support students with additional needs in a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging educational environment. Key Responsibilities: * Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to support their learning, emotional development, and independence. * Assist in managing behaviour positively, promoting a calm and supportive learning atmosphere. * Help prepare and adapt teaching materials and resources to meet individual needs. * Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and, where appropriate, families. * Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs, where necessary (training can be provided). Requirements: * A valid DBS check on the Update Service is preferred. * Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or care setting, is beneficial but not essential. * A caring, patient, and resilient approach with a genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. * A flexible attitude and a commitment to promoting the well-being and learning of all pupils.
