This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a part-time role with a genuine purpose-supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Your role will focus on supporting learning, building confidence, and promoting emotional wellbeing, while ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs
* Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
* Assisting with learning activities and behaviour management
* Promoting a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment
* Offering encouragement and positive reinforcement
* Previous experience supporting children or young people (not essential but beneficial)
* A calm, caring and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A willingness to undertake safeguarding and SEN training
