Develop and maintain coordinated 3D mechanical models using Revit to LOD500.
• Lead the coordination of mechanical services in Stage 5 design.
• Produce 2D schematic, installation, and builders' work hole drawings derived from fully coordinated 3D models working to tight deadlines based on the project critical path.
• Perform quality checks to ensure models and drawings meet relevant industry and project requirements.
• Participate in coordination meetings (both in-person and via Teams), representing mechanical design intent.
• Collaborate closely with other disciplines (electrical, structural, architectural etc) to resolve spatial clashes.
• Integrate and align point cloud data with design models for validation and coordination.
• Ensure accurate COBie data is captured and maintained within models for asset handover.
• Assist with planning and reviewing construction sequencing and trade interfaces.
• Liaise with site teams and contractors to validate installation feasibility and resolve technical queries.
• Organise and manage models within the Common Data Environments (CDE) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior coordinators, modellers and drafters where applicable.
• Maintain organised model documentation and adhere to internal and client QA/QC procedures.
• Record changes in the project risk register and proactively raise and manage RFIs (Requests for Information) to resolve design or coordination issues.
Demonstrate advanced, senior-level expertise in mechanical design - including sizing of ducting, piping and attenuators, as well as accurate pressure drop calculations, etc (multi-discipline knowledge is a strong advantage).
• Be fully proficient in Revit and AutoCAD. Experience working with main contractors is advantageous.
• Must be willing and able to travel to Central London as required.
Most projects are based in Central London and will likely require on-site attendance one day per week.
