Job Summary
We are looking for a Procurement Operations Manager for our Procurement/Supplier Quality department in Papendrecht. In this role, where you lead the Purchase-to-Pay process, you are responsible for the operational performance of suppliers within the wiring activities of Fokker Elmo. You will lead a team of operational buyers and supplier quality engineers responsible for ensuring delivery in line with operational performance requirements from our suppliers. Your goal is resource management, delivering against performance objectives, focused on continuous improvement, people development, and supplier delivery performance. This role reports to the Site Director.
Job Responsibilities
As Procurement Operations Manager, you have the following responsibilities:
* Lead a team of operational buyers responsible for ensuring delivery in line with operational performance requirements from suppliers across a scope of ~ £45m spend
* Manage the people within the operational procurement team, ensuring performance management, development plans, and succession planning
* Implement supplier scheduling aligned with production plans, and ensure the accuracy of supplier and procured parts data within the MRP system
* Embed standard procurement processes within the team, including daily reviews, KPI meetings, and ongoing employee engagement
* Collaborate with other procurement teams to standardize processes
* Ensure the accuracy of supplier and parts data within MRP/ERP systems
* Oversee material availability and maintain optimal inventory levels
* Develop and implement continuous improvement plans for operational procurement
* Manage internal customer relationships and stakeholder engagement
Job Qualifications
* BSc degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, or Science
* At least 10 years of relevant business experience
* Minimum 5 years in Procurement SCM or Production Management
* Experience with an international supply base
* Ability to build relations with suppliers and understand their processes
* Proven leadership skills in cross-functional teams
* Strong analytical, decisiveness, customer focus, and organizational skills
* Proficiency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
