Working Hours
1. Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15
2. Friday: 07:30 - 11:30
Pay Rates (PAYE)
First 12 Weeks:
3. Basic Rate: £18.09/hr (£20.72/hr including holiday pay)
4. Overtime: £27.13/hr (£31.07/hr including holiday pay)
5. Sundays: £36.17/hr (£41.43/hr including holiday pay)
After 12 Weeks:
6. Basic Rate: £18.64/hr (£21.35/hr including holiday pay)
7. Overtime: £27.95/hr (£32.02/hr including holiday pay)
8. Sundays: £37.27/hr (£42.69/hr including holiday pay)
Role Overview
We are seeking two experienced Welder Fabricators with Fitting experience to join the Gimbals production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end manufacture of bellows and gimbal assemblies, transforming raw materials into high-specification aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities
9. Manufacture of bellows and gimbal assemblies from raw material to final product
10. Use of hand tools and precision equipment
11. TIG welding, brazing, seam welding, and aluminium welding
12. Lathe turning (standard and integrals)
13. Assembly of RR units and gimbals
14. Resistance and Electron Beam Welding
15. Conducting tests, including NDT and X-ray inspections
16. Working to tight tolerances and interpreting technical drawings and SOPs
17. Quality assurance of products within declared capability
18. Participation in lean manufacturing (5S) and 8D problem-solving activities
19. Essential Skills & Experience
20. Proficient in TIG welding and fabrication techniques
21. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and Production Acceptance Test (PAT) requirements
22. Hands-on experience with aerospace manufacturing standards
23. Detail-oriented, capable of working to precise tolerances
24. Eligibility to obtain and use a company "stamp" to certify completed work
25. Strong team player with a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement
26. Preferred Experience
27. Background in aerospace or similar high-precision industries
28. Familiarity with SOP-driven production environments
29. Exposure to quality systems and audit requirements
