Overview
Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a Vehicle Recovery & Seizure Liaison Assistant to join our team.
The purpose of this role is to administer and control the force vehicle recovery scheme and associated inter-dependencies.
Key Responsibilities
* To be fully aware of all relevant legislation relating to vehicle recovery and seizure. Ensure any changes to legislation or policy are recorded in the force vehicle recovery and disposal of vehicle policy and communicated to staff appropriately.
* To administer the authorisation of the release or disposal of vehicles and payment of recovery charges as set within agreed contracts, force policy and procedures.
* To communicate effectively with officers and staff and provide advice and support in relation to the above policies and procedures.
* Administration of recovery and seizure of vehicles.
* To liaise with vehicle recovery contractors to ensure KPIs are achieved.
* To liaise with Stolen Vehicle Examiners and ensure production of reports as required to support their investigations.

Vetting And Medical
Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
