What you’ll do as an Events Assistant
As an Events Assistant in our Maidstone Leisure Centre team, you’ll help ensure every visitor experiences a safe, smooth and enjoyable event. Your role supports the delivery of activities that bring communities together and create positive impact.
* Support the set‑up and preparation of events, ensuring all equipment and spaces are ready in good time.
* Uphold the company Health and Safety Policy and comply with all relevant safety legislation.
* Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout event areas.
* Follow processes outlined in the Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure consistent and safe operations.
* Assist with stewarding duties when required to support smooth event delivery.
* Maintain a positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to delivering high standards.
* Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, with a team‑focused approach.
* Maintain high standards of personal presentation.
* Show a commitment to Serco values and our mission to create positive impact in communities.
* Show willingness to undertake full training – no previous experience required.
